About us

Second Baptist Church, Cherryville seeks to advance and promote the worship of Jesus Christ through reading and studying His Holy Word, the teaching and preaching of the gospel, conducting regular services of worship for spiritual training, and for winning souls to Jesus Christ.  Our church is missionary in spirit, extending the gospel through our organized religious channels to the entire world.  We promote and maintain the teaching and doctrines of the Christian body universally known and designated as the Southern Baptist Convention.  

 

All of our services, whether it is singing, praying, preaching, or fellowship, seeks to focus our attention on the risen Lord that He might be glorified above all else.  

 

We believe that the leaders in our church should be of high moral character adhereing to the ordinances, doctrines and ethics set forth in the New Testament for the church of our Lord Jesus Christ.
